Saturday nights at 5 p.m.
Every Saturday at 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., a dinner is served in Calvin Hall to those who need a meal or need the fellowship provided by sharing a meal. Community Dinner provides an enjoyable place for any and all who would like a warm meal and conversation. All who come have a hunger of one kind or another! It may be for food, or for hope, for conversation and connection with others and some are there with a hunger to serve those who are hungry.
Our basic principles have remained the same since day one — everyone is welcome, the food is nutritious, the meal is free, and the love of God is what it’s all about (without being preachy or pushy).
Looking for an opportunity to be part of the volunteer Community Dinner Team? Please call the church office for more information at 503-472-6256 for how to serve in this meaningful mission.
The Community Dinner mission has celebrated ten years last October. The Community Dinner Team served its first dinner on Saturday, October 21, 2006. Being a non-funded mission, we are forever thankful to the individuals supporting us through their contributions. Those gifts go a long way toward the Community Dinner food budget for the coming year.
